• Learn the Native American Flute, Level 2: Finding Your Song - Plano, Texas.
  Continue your musical exploration with the Native American flute. Fine-tune your skills and experience the true joy of making music. This is the follow up class to "Finding the Voice Within." Also open to students who have some basic experience with the Native American flute. Ability to read music is NOT required.

  This is a 4-session course meeting on Thursday evenings, 7:30-9:30pm, March 11 - April 8, 2010 (Mar 11, Mar 18, Apr 1, Apr 8).

  Location: Plano/Allen, Texas area (near 75/Central and Bethany)

  Course fee: $95. A pentatonic Native American flute is required for this class. If you need one, a flute will be provided to you on request ($45 material cost).

• Sounds of the Earth and Sky: Concert with Randy Granger and Cornell Kinderknecht. Sounds of the Earth and Sky. Hear the beautiful musical sounds of the earth, sky, wind, grass, tree, stone, and human voice. Musician and songwriter Randy Granger of New Mexico on Native American flutes, Hang Drum, percussion, guitar and voice joins Dallas musician Cornell Kinderknecht on world flutes: bansuri, Native American flute, ocarina and whistle. Percussionist and drummer Martin McCall will round out the ensemble.

  Both Cornell and Randy are engaging performers, successful independent recording artists and composers. Cornell has been twice nominated for "Musician of the Year" at the Texas Music Awards and Randy received the 2009 Indian Summer music award for Native American flute. Martin McCall is well-known in the Dallas music community (ooga booga, hai-tex, Rhett Butler, Impending Bloom, Kobushi) and beyond, having performed with several world-renowned musicians including violinist Mark O'Connor (The Dixie Dregs) and guitarist Larry Coryell.
