Instructor: Cornell Kinderknecht

Cornell is a World Flutes performing and
recording artist as well as
a teacher. He currently has two solo albums to his credit and can be
heard on numerous other artists' recordings. He has a private studio
of flute students in Dallas and is a frequent performer and presenter
at music workshops around the US. With his expertise, he provides
practical hands-on instruction while his light-hearted approach puts
students at ease. Cornell has been a Texas Music Awards nominee twice
and he currently serves on the Board of Directors of
Earth Rhythms.

A four-session course to build skills on this
beautiful, haunting, meditative, exciting instrument.
♦ Fine-tuning your sound and technique
♦ Improvisation
♦ Extended scales and effects
♦ Flute tablature and notation
Course fee: $95
* A pentatonic Native American flute is required for this class. If
you need one, a high quality flute will be provided upon requset for
an additional $45.

Requirements for this course:
- Students should have either one of these pre-requisites:
- Attended the level 1 class "Finding the Voice Within"
OR
- Basic experience with the Native flute (using the breath to make a
sound, know the basic fingering patterns)
- A pentatonic Native American flute is required for this class. If
you need one, a high-quality flute will be provided upon request ($45
material cost). The key of A-minor is prefered for exercises that we
play together as a class.
- Curiosity, your willingness to experiment, and a the
desire to have fun learning music.
The ability to read music is NOT a prerequisite for this course.
