In this four-session course we will explore aspects of this
beautiful, haunting, meditative, exciting instrument and its music,
♦ Basic scale patterns and techniques
♦ Special effects and extended skills
♦ Creating your own music
♦ History and culture of the Native flute
Previous musical experience is NOT required.
A high-quality Native American flute
will be available for each student *
Course fee: $110 online special
You will need to have a standard 6-hole pentatonic Native flute for
this class, the key of A-minor is recommended. A flute is NOT
provided with your registration in this online offering of the
class. Contact Cornell for

Instuctor: Cornell Kinderknecht
is an award-winning World Flutes
performing and recording artist as well as a teacher. In addition to
his own solo albums, his work can be heard on numerous other artists'
recordings across many genres. He has a private studio of flute
students in Dallas and is in demand as a performer and presenter at
music workshops and festivals around the US. With his expertise, he
provides practical interactive instruction while his light-hearted
approach puts students at ease. Cornell is an Indian Summer Music
Awards winner, has performad solo at the prestigious Carnegie Hall,
and has twice been a Texas Music Awards nominee. He is currently the
Director of the Pacific Northwest Flute Gathering and music
co-director of the Dallas Recorder Society.
