About this class:
In this four-session course we continue building skills on this beautiful, haunting, meditative, exciting instrument, including:
♦ Expanding use of embellishments / ornaments
♦ Creating songs and improvising
♦ Using notes from the extended scale
♦ Understanding flute tablature and notation systems
► This course is for those who have attended the level 1 class in this series OR who have basic experience with the Native flute (use of breath to make a sound, know the basic fingering patterns).

► * A pentatonic Native American flute in A-minor is required for this class. If you need one, a high quality flute will be provided upon request for an additional $70.

Course fee: $110 online special
$125 if registering by March 10
$145 if registering after March 10
* Additional material cost of $70 for a Native American flute for those that need one (if you have an A-minor pentatonic Native American flute, you may use that)
   ** IMPORTANT:     You will need to have a standard 6-hole pentatonic Native flute for this class, the key of A-minor is recommended. A flute is NOT provided with your registration in this online offering of the class. Contact Cornell for recommendations if you need to purchase a Native flute.

Instuctor: Cornell Kinderknecht
Cornell Kinderknecht is an award-winning World Flutes performing and recording artist as well as a teacher. In addition to his own solo albums, his work can be heard on numerous other artists' recordings across many genres. He has a private studio of flute students in Dallas and is in demand as a performer and presenter at music workshops and festivals around the US. With his expertise, he provides practical interactive instruction while his light-hearted approach puts students at ease. Cornell is an Indian Summer Music Awards winner, has performad solo at the prestigious Carnegie Hall, and has twice been a Texas Music Awards nominee. He is currently the Director of the Pacific Northwest Flute Gathering and music director of the Dallas Recorder Society.
