Come join us for a fun and experiential workshop on playing this beautiful instrument. Develop your own unique sound and find your song.

In our morning session we will work on all aspects of playing NAF, including technique, finger control, dynamics and breath. In the afternoon, we'll explore the fine art of crafting songs (both improvised and composed) for our instrument, melody formation, including song structures, phrasing, ornamentation, and developing our musical ideas.

Flutes in A-minor recommended for group instruction. If you have multiple flutes in A-minor, please bring along if you're willing to share with someone who might not have that key. Also bring any other flutes you may want to play.

(we'll take a short break for lunch during the workshop)

Private lessons may be available with Cornell this weekend by reservation. Contact Cornell for information.
